Impact The Badgers shot just 32.8 percent from the floor in Monday's narrow loss, but Wahl was a bright spot for the Badgers with a career-high 16 points. The junior has had inconsistent results to begin the 2021-22 campaign and has averaged 7.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in 24.3 minutes per game across his first three appearances of the year.

Impact Wahl had been limited on the scoreboard while shooting just 24 percent from the floor over the last five games, but he was one of five Badgers to score at least 10 points during Sunday's win. The sophomore is now averaging 5.4 points and 4.2 rebounds over 24.8 minutes per game this year.

Impact Wahl joined the starting five for the first time this year in place of Nate Reuvers since coach Greg Gard wanted increased mobility against the Scarlet Knights. The sophomore generated some modest production, but he was the only starter who didn't post a double-digit scoring total. It's not yet clear whether he'll remain in the starting five going forward, but he's now averaging 4.9 points and 3.9 rebounds over 22.9 minutes per game this season.
