Austin Rapp - Unlikely to return Tuesday Rapp (ankle) appears unlikely to return in Tuesday's game against Minnesota, Nick Osen of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Rapp, who has missed the last two games with an ankle injury, was able to get in some work with a trainer this week, but he was held out of live drills. The 6-foot-10 sophomore, who is averaging 9.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.8 blocks on 23.4 minutes per game, will have his status monitored heading into Tuesday's game against the Golden Gophers.

Impact Carrington stepped up in a huge way here, as Austin Rapp (undisclosed) was sidelined and Andrew Rohde found himself in foul trouble, which led to the Badgers needing significantly more run from the senior transfer from Tulsa. Not only did Carrington see more minutes than in any other game this season, but he scored his most points since Nov. 21 and shattered his season-best rebounding total. He was also notably 9-for-12 from the charity stripe after attempting only one free-throw in his previous five games combined. It would be easy to write this production off as fluke circumstances, but Carrington at least showed he can answer the bell when called upon in high-stakes scenarios.

Impact Blackwell's scoring fell off a bit over the final four games of December, as he averaged just 9.7 ppg, potentially due in part to an undisclosed injury that forced one DNP. He rallied a bit with 17 points in a win over UCLA earlier in the week, though his outside shooting didn't quite click, as he was 1-for-9 from distance. That changed Saturday against the top team in the country, as Blackwell knocked down four treys -- his highest single-game total since Dec. 6. His 26 points were also a game-high. It's not an oversimplification to say the Badgers will go as Blackwell goes, as point guard Nick Boyd (19.7 ppg) has been impressive this year, but Wisconsin sees the most success when both are scoring at a high rate. Next up is a matchup at Minnesota on Tuesday.
