Nolan Winter - Exits game Wednesday Winter (leg) exited Wednesday's win over Maryland, Nick Osen of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Winter was helped to the locker room with just over six minutes left in the second half after coming down hard on a putback attempt. The 7-foot junior was surrounded by his teammates on the floor and looked to be in a lot of pain holding his left leg/knee. Winter's night is done given Wisconsin's large lead at his time of exit, and his status for Saturday's game against Purdue and the upcoming Big Ten Tournament appears to be in jeopardy at this time.

It was also good to see him go 2-of-3 from beyond the arc, as he'd struggled with his three ball recently, hitting just 3-of-17 shots from deep in his last five games combined. Wisconsin's star guard tandem of Nick Boyd and John Blackwell gets most of the attention, but Winter looks like the X-factor for these Badgers as March creeps closer.

Impact Boyd was unequivocally the best player on the court Sunday evening in Madison. He consistently penetrated the Iowa defense, getting to his dominant left hand with ease and paving the way for the Badgers' eventual second-half onslaught. His 10 assists were a career high, and he was surgical in creating for both others and himself. With fellow star guard John Blackwell quieter than usual, Boyd picked up the slack and went to work. With the way he impacts the game at all levels, and with the way the Badgers seem to feed off his energy, the point guard is a terrifying player to game-plan against.
