Drops 24 in Wednesday's win
Ball provided 24 points (8-14 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and one steal over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 80-70 victory over Butler.
Impact
Ball led the Huskies with 24 points in Wednesday's win, his fourth game this season with at least 20 points. The majority of his points came from beyond the arc as he hit a season-high six three-pointers, hitting 50 percent of his attempts. He did not do much else besides score versus Butler, but his spark on offense was enough to earn UConn yet another victory.

Quiet in Tuesday's blowout win
Ball finished with nine points (2-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds and two assists across 23 minutes during Tuesday's 92-60 win over Xavier.
Impact
Ball did not do a whole lot in Tuesday's win, in part because he tied a season-low with just 23 minutes on the court since his team was up by 28 points at halftime. He scored nine points and continued to struggle from the field and from the free throw line. Over his last eight contests he's shooting just 34.5 percent from the field and 26.9 percent from beyond the arc. While he's still shown an ability to break out with big performances, his inconsistency shooting the ball has become a legitimate issue.

Struggling with outside shot
Ball notched 10 points (3-10 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 4-6 FT) and three rebounds across 32 minutes during Saturday's 64-62 win over Georgetown.
Impact
Ball has averaged 11.5 ppg across six games since returning from a mid-December wrist injury, but his three-point shooting has suffered. He's shooting just 20.7 percent from distance over that stretch and only 27.5 percent on the season (compared to 41.4 percent a season ago). If the junior can get that aspect of his game back on track, it would provide a bit boost to the Huskies, who already sit atop the Big East.

Ball (wrist) will be available for Wednesday's game against Xavier, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact
Ball, who sat out during UConn's last game against DePaul on Dec. 21, will make his return against the Musketeers on Wednesday.
