Perhaps most importantly, the senior sixth man finished third on the team in minutes despite starting the game on the pine, which speaks well of his possible role moving forward this year for the Cowboys.

Impact Roy was every bit of the dynamic scorer the Cowboys were hoping they signed during the offseason against the Tigers, lighting up last year's national semifinalist for 28 points with a high level of efficiency. The 6-foot-5 wing was everywhere for OK State, leading the team in rebounds as well. The one point of concern for Roy was ball security, as he coughed up possession six times, but overall it was a very successful showing for the former Green Bay transfer.

Impact Prior to transferring from Wisconsin-Green Bay to Oklahoma State, Roy had been dealing with a leg injury that prematurely ended his season. Fortunately for him, at least for the time being, he can begin his 2025-26 season healthy. Ideally for Oklahoma State, he gives the scoring boost he brought to UWGB, backed up by his 25.7 points and 4.4 three-pointers made per game last season. The campaign also saw Roy average 5.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals, providing a diverse portfolio but one that is not expected to be so easy to replicate in a Power Conference like the Big 12.
