Braeden Shrewsberry - Scores 13 points in win Tuesday Shrewsberry accumulated 13 points (5-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across 33 minutes during Tuesday's 68-63 victory over Rutgers.

Impact Markus Burton led the way for Notre Dame with a 21-point, six-rebound, five-assist performance. However, Shrewsberry also posted a solid line and was one of three starters who scored in double digits for the Fighting Irish. Shrewsberry is averaging 11.3 points per game, but his game-to-game efforts have been inconsistent. Through seven games, he has four games with 10 or more points but three with nine or fewer.

Impact Burton was coming off a 14-point performance against Ohio State on Nov. 16, where he shot a dreadful 3-for-14 from the floor, but he bounced back admirably here. This 25-point output was Burton's best scoring mark of the campaign, and his usage rate assures him of having a decent volume in every game. He has scored at least 20 points in three of his five games so far in 2025-26.

Impact Mohammed started the last three games for the Fighting Irish, but Jalen Haralson will take over his spot in the starting five on Wednesday night. Mohammed averaged 7.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in his three starts.

Impact Burton is expected to be one of the most dominant scoring forces in the ACC, but that won't be the case if he continues to struggle with his shot as much as he's done of late. Even though Burton has scored in double digits in his four outings this season, the lack of efficiency is hurting him. The junior guard is making just 40.7 percent of his shots from the field and 30.8 percent of his three-pointers.

Impact There was no reason for the Fighting Irish to risk Burton in a game they won by 32 points, so he was limited to just 17 minutes. He still made a sizable impact when he was out there, though. Expect Burton to remain as Notre Dame's primary offensive weapon going forward.

The junior was limited to only two points in the season opener, but he bounced back admirably here. When fully healthy, he should operate as Notre Dame's second scoring option behind Burton most of the time.

Certa will likely make a strong push for more minutes if he's able to settle himself as a reliable scoring weapon in the second unit for the Fighting Irish.

Carson Towt - Pulls down 19 rebounds Towt logged two points (1-4 FG), 19 rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 28 minutes during Monday's 89-67 win over LIU.

Impact Towt didn't provide a lot of value on offense after missing three of his four field goals, but he was a dominant presence on the glass. He's not going to crash the boards for 19 rebounds on a regular basis, but he's widely expected to be among the best rebounders in the ACC if he stays healthy.
