Scores 13 in loss to Georgetown James totaled 13 points (6-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, five assists and two blocks over 29 minutes during Wednesday's 78-69 loss to Georgetown.

Impact James and the Golden Eagles opened up conference play Wednesday and it ended with another loss. James scored the second-most points on the team with 13 and he also tied a season-high with five assists and blocked two shots for the first time this season. The true freshman has been a bit inconsistent in the scoring column so far this season, and his 43.0-23.1-75.6 shooting splits aren't helping that cause. Still, it's so early in his career so he has plenty of time to settle in and put in some more consistent performances.

Impact James scored a team-high and a season-high 21 points Tuesday, his second straight game with at least 20 points. He also came up clutch down the stretch in overtime. With his team down one point with 33 seconds remaining, James drew two fouls and hit all four of his free throws to ice the game and prevent the upset. He also recorded four assists in his fifth straight game and recorded two steals. He faces a difficult test at Wisconsin on Saturday.

Impact James made his third straight start Wednesday with Sean Jones (shoulder) out and he had his most productive game of the season. He set season highs in points (18), assists (five) and steals (four) as he played 38 minutes in the overtime loss. He was not very efficient though as he shot 31 percent from the field and made just two of his eight attempts from beyond the arc. He also committed a season-high three turnovers in the Golden Eagles' second straight loss.

Impact James made his first start of the season Wednesday with Sean Jones (shoulder) out and put together a solid performance in the blowout win. He scored double-digit points in his second straight game, shooting 60 percent from the field and hitting one of his two threes. He also recorded one steal, bringing him up to nine through just four games. Although the freshman will likely return to the bench once Jones returns, he's already carved a role out in the Golden Eagles' rotation just four games into his collegiate career.
