Scores 13 points in loss
Calmese notched 13 points (5-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and four assists in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 86-68 loss to Oklahoma.
Impact
Calmese and Juke Harris (22 points) were the only notable performers in this blowout loss for Wake Forest. This was just the fourth time Calmese has scored in double digits this season. He remains a starter in the backcourt for the Demon Deacons, but his numbers have taken a hit compared to the 2024-25 campaign at Washington State, where he averaged 15.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.

Lands at Wake Forest
Calmese will transfer to Wake Forest, per Steve Samra of On3.com.
Impact
Calmese averaged 15.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists in a sterling 2024-2025 campaign with Washington State. The 6-foot-2 point guard will now head to the ACC to play for his fourth program in as many years. Calmese should start immediately for the Demon Deacons.

Plans to enter portal again
Calmese plans to enter the NCAA's transfer portal, according to Joe Tipton of On3.
Impact
Each of Calmese's underclassman seasons occurred for a different team, so it should not be surprising his senior year may not be any different. For two of the three teams, including Washington, he logged more than 10 points per game.

In starting five
Calmese (arm) is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against Eastern Washington, Greg Woods of The Spokane Spokesman-Review reports.
Impact
Calmese played a season-low 21 minutes in the Cougars' last game after departing to the locker room in the second half with an apparent arm or shoulder injury. The injury apparently was not overly serious, as he's right back in his usual spot in the starting lineup and will look to bounce back after underwhelming scoring performance versus Northern Colorado.

Impact
Calmese was struggling even before he departed to the locker room, finishing with four points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 21 minutes. He's been a big-time scorer early on, averaging 20 points per game while shooting 52.6 percent from the floor. A possible injury would be a devastating blow for the Cougars and would likely push Isaiah Watts into the starting lineup if Calmese is forced to miss time.

Impactful in opener
Calmese supplied 13 points (5-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, four assists and four steals in 25 minutes during Monday's 91-57 victory over Bellarmine.
Impact
Calmese wasted no time making an impact after transferring from Lamar. The jump in competition did not faze him, and the undersized guard was able to make plays defensively. He appears to be a key backup guard in Washington's rotation.
