Blake Buchanan - Shines in win over Jayhawks Buchanan finished with 11 points (5-6 FG, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one block over 21 minutes during Saturday's 74-56 victory over Kansas.
Impact Buchanan's scoring abilities this season have been extremely volatile so far, especially against tough teams. The junior big man reeled it in versus the Jayhawks, though, as he pieced together 11 points with an 83.3 field-goal percentage. He was also a necessary force in the paint opposite to Fluory Bidunga, as he recorded six boards and a block. If Buchanan can consistently play this well moving forward, the Cyclones will be an even tougher team to beat.
