Killyan Toure - Continues to produce
Toure recorded 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist and two steals over 28 minutes during Saturday's 81-58 win over Purdue.
Impact
Toure continued his solid play for the Cyclones, connecting on 3-of-5 from downtown as he reached double figures in scoring for the fourth-consecutive game. The return of Tamin Lipsey meant that Toure wasn't needed as a ball distributor, dishing out just one assist after having recorded six in each of his past two performances. However, the freshman guard did pull down a season high off the glass while collecting multiple thefts for the fifth time in nine games. Toure is averaging 16.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals across 28.8 minutes over the past four games and will look to continue the momentum on Thursday against Iowa when the Cyclones host their bitter in-state rivals.

Nate Heise - Drops out of starting unit
Heise will not start Saturday's game versus Purdue, Bill Seals of On3.com reports.
Impact
Heise started the last trio of contests with Tamin Lipsey sidelined, but he'll return to his bench role Saturday with Lipsey set to return and retake his spot in the starting unit. Heise only played 21 minutes last time out and will likely log similar minutes off the bench moving forward.

Dominick Nelson - Available at Purdue
Nelson (groin) will be suited up and available for Saturday's game at Purdue, Eugene Rapay of The Journal News reports.
Impact
Nelson will be good to go after a one-game absence due to a groin injury he sustained earlier this week. The senior guard should provide necessary help off the bench for the Cyclones, as they look to beat a powerhouse Purdue squad.

Tamin Lipsey - Playing at Purdue
Lipsey (groin) will play in Saturday's game at Purdue, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact
Lipsey will make his return to the court after a three-game absence as the Cyclones take on the Boilermakers. The senior guard averaged 18.4 points, 5.2 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 3.2 steals, 1.6 three-pointers and 0.5 turnovers on 31 minutes per game across five games so far this campaign. He'll need to be on his best game if Iowa State hopes to beat the No. 1 team in the nation.

Dominick Nelson - Logs practice Friday
Iowa State head coach said Otzelberger (groin) practiced Friday, which is a "positive sign" for his availability at Purdue on Saturday, per Ben Hutchens of Quad-City Times.
Impact
Nelson remains a game-time decision for the big away game, but his ability to practice on Friday bodes well for his availability. The senior guard has averaged 7.4 points across 14.4 minutes as a bench spark so far this season. His status should be determined prior to tip-off against the Boilermakers.

Tamin Lipsey - Game-time decision at Purdue
Lipsey (groin) will be a game-time decision for Saturday's game at Purdue, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact
Lipsey has been sidelined for the Cyclones' last three games after suffering a groin injury versus St. John's on Nov. 24. The starting point guard's status will now be determined closer to tip-off against the Boilermakers, but it should be clearer based on whether he's warming up before the big showing. He's averaged 18.4 points, 5.2 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 3.2 steals, 1.6 three-pointers and 0.5 turnovers on 31 minutes per game across five games so far this campaign.

Tamin Lipsey - Will be re-evaluated twice
Lipsey (groin) will be re-evaluated Friday and Saturday, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact
Lipsey participated in Iowa State's latest practice Friday, but his participation was not enough to warrant clearance for the ISU-Purdue game Saturday. Thus, ISU's coaching staff will re-evaluate him both Friday and Saturday to see if they can get him ready to face the AP Poll's No. 1 team. For five games this season, his statistical rates include 18.4 points, 5.2 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 3.2 steals, 1.6 three-pointers made and 0.5 turnovers with 50.7/33.3/77.8 shooting splits. Lipsey has easily been one of college basketball's best players, so having him available should boost ISU's chances of defeating Purdue.

Jamarion Batemon - Drills seven threes in career night
Batemon posted 26 points (9-13 FG, 7-10 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 132-68 win over Alcorn State.
Impact
Batemon had a career night, connecting on 7-of-10 from beyond the arc while tallying a career-best 26 points as the Cyclones stomped Alcorn State. The freshman reserve played 12 more minutes than his previous season high, reaching double figures in scoring for the second time this season with his previous high-water mark being the 11 points he posted back on Nov. 6. Batemon has only topped six points twice this season but does have future promise for Iowa State and could prove to be a valuable piece off the bench for occasional scoring production as the season wears on.

Milan Momcilovic - Red hot from long range
Momcilovic provided 27 points (9-12 FG, 8-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and five steals over 30 minutes during Wednesday's 132-68 win over Alcorn State.
Impact
Momcilovic topped 20 points for the third time in four games, connecting on a career-high eight triples on just nine attempts while also contributing a season-high five thefts in the strong two-way effort. Momcilovic has shot 14-for-19 from three across his last two games to raise his shooting percentage to 49.1 from long range on the season. Following two solid seasons in Ames, the junior forward is in the midst of a breakout campaign, averaging 18.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals across 26.3 minutes through eight games.

Joshua Jefferson - Posts third-straight double double
Jefferson finished with 24 points (10-13 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, 10 assists and two steals across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 132-68 win over Alcorn State.
Impact
Jefferson recorded his third-consecutive double double and the second straight in which he's dished out 10 assists. These past two performances represent the first two times in Jefferson's career that he has recorded double figures in assists and demonstrate the role he's taken on as a ball distributor this season, especially over the last three games without Tamin Lipsey, who continues to sit with a groin injury. The senior forward is now averaging a career-high 5.6 dimes to go along with career-best marks in scoring (17.6) and rebounds (7.9).

Dominick Nelson - Will be day-to-day moving forward
Nelson (groin) will be day-to-day for Iowa State, per Eugene Rapay of The Journal News.
Impact
Nelson was reported to be out earlier Wednesday, and now we know why -- the guard is dealing with a groin injury. Considering he's been described as day-to-day, his ailment doesn't sound all that serious.

Tamin Lipsey - Not warming up
Lipsey (groin) isn't participating in warmups and appears slated to miss another game Wednesday night, per Eugene Rapay of The Journal News.
Impact
Lipsey looks set to miss his third straight game as the Cyclones take on Alcorn State at home. The starting point guard is off to an excellent start this season, averaging 18.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists, but Nate Heise will likely start once again in his stead.

Nelson (undisclosed) isn't playing against Alcorn State on Wednesday, per Eugene Rapay of The Journal News.
Impact
Nelson has come off the bench for Iowa State this season, averaging 7.4 points across 14.4 minutes. It's unclear what's holding him out Wednesday night, but the Cyclones will have to go a little deeper into their rotation against Alcorn State.

ROTOWIRE
Tamin Lipsey - Game-time decision Wednesday
Lipsey (groin) is a game-time decision for Wednesday's game Alcorn State, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact
Iowa State will push Lipsey's availability for at least a few more hours as the team prepares for Alcorn State. Though the Cyclones' upcoming opponent may be easily defeated without him, they provide him a tune-up before their big clash with Purdue on Saturday. In his absence, Nate Heise has started, and that is expected to remain under a Lipsey absence and despite the former recently struggling against Syracuse in Las Vegas.
