Scores 14 in first start
Zugic finished Wednesday's 91-84 victory over UConn with 14 points (4-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-8 FT), five rebounds and one steal across 31 minutes.
Impact
Zugic made his first start of the season Wednesday, and that decision by the coaching staff paid off. He set season highs in points (14) and rebounds (five) in his 31 minutes of action, crucial contributions which led the Bluejays to a shocking win on the road. Zugic needed just seven shots to score his 14 points, thanks in part to his six made free throws. This performance could earn him a spot in the starting five moving forward, or at the very least a larger role off the bench.

Granted immediate eligibility
Zugic has been granted immediate eligibility by the NCAA, Jeff Borzello of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
The wing will be eligible to play as soon as Saturday against Villanova. It remains to be seen how the Jayhawks will incorporate him into their lineup and rotations, but the freshman figures to provide a nice presence on the perimeter for Creighton. The guard had dealt with an ankle injury at the onset of the season, and it's unclear if that ailment is still bothering him.
