Impact Givony's announcement indicates that Demin will forgo both his three years of collegiate eligibility and redshirt remaining. The freshman began his pro career with Real Madrid before BYU paid a million-dollar buyout to sign him. It is safe to say the Cougars' investment paid off. For their latest season, Demin logged 10.6 points, 5.5 assists, 3.9 rebounds, 1.3 three-pointers made and 1.2 steals per game. The guard's most recognizable flaws include turnover rate (2.9 per game) and shot inefficiency, indicated by his three-point (27.3) and free throw (69.5) percentages. But more importantly, Demin shot 41.2 percent from the field, and it is unlikely he drops below a lottery selection.

Season comes to close Demin ended with 15 points (6-14 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 27 minutes during Thursday's 113-88 loss to Alabama.

Impact Demin slashed his way to 15 points, adding seven helpers and a couple of steals as the Cougars fell in the Sweet 16 to Alabama. The freshman point guard struggled from deep, connecting on just 1-of-8 from beyond the arc, but was effective getting inside the paint with four of his six made field-goal attempts coming at the rim. With BYU's season coming to a close, Demin will have a decision to make this offseason as he is a projected lottery pick should he choose to make himself available for the NBA draft. If this is the end, he will have finished his one season in Provo by averaging 13.7 points, 5.7 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals during BYU's three-game tournament run.

Impact Demin shot just 30.0-percent on 10 shots from the floor but contributed with eight boards and eight dimes during BYU's victory in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. It was the fifth time this season Demin has recorded at least 10 points, five rebounds and five assists in a game this season. Additionally, Demin was secure with the basketball, committing only one turnover after having tallied at least four across each of the previous three contests. The freshman guard will look to continue that level of ball control next week when BYU will make its first Sweet Sixteen appearance since 2011.
