Decides to transfer to Duke John announced Friday morning via his personal Twitter account that he is heading to Duke as a graduate transfer. Impact John originally was expected to pursue a professional career but will end up returning to college and upholding his extra year of eligibility. The 6-9 senior averaged eight points, five rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 26.2 minutes per game this year and fills a big need for the Blue Devils after Matthew Hurt left for the draft and Patrick Tape transferred to San Francisco. Johns is a problem down low, as he'll leave Marquette with 191 career blocked shots. Despite being an experienced big, it's unclear if he'll crack the starting lineup with 7-footer Mark Williams slated to start at center and five-star recruit Paolo Banchero coming in and having a legit shot to start right away in the frontcourt.
