Impact Askew has turned into a more consistent scorer in league play, as he has back-to-back games with 20-plus points, with each effort featuring a trio of three-point baskets. Villanova seems to be recognizing this by awarding the senior an increase in volume, as he's attempted 10 or more shots in five straight. While it wasn't enough to topple one of the best teams in the Big East on Saturday, the Wildcats are still off to a solid 5-2 start to league play and appear to be on the right side of the NCAA Tournament bubble.

Impact Askew scored 13 points off the bench in Saturday's win, his most since he dropped 18 versus Michigan on Dec. 9. After hitting his seven of 28 shots from the field over the last three games, he bounced back Saturday by making half of his 10 field goal attempts and both of his shots from the charity stripe. He also secured a season-high six rebounds in his 25 minutes off the bench.

He was not particularly efficient though as he shot under 40 percent from the field with nearly all of those attempts coming from beyond the arc. He also recorded a season-high four steals versus the red-hot Wolverines. Although he has not started since the season opener, Askew has found a significant role off the bench, however his production has been inconsistent.

He was expected to miss the start of this season with a knee injury, so the fact that he was in the starting five was a surprise. He was clearly not fully ready for a return given his lackluster performance, and eventually Bryce Lindsay took over his spot in the rotation. He will look to bounce back Saturday versus Queens University, assuming the team does not reevaluate the decision to rush him back.
