Kansas' head coach Bill Self commented on the matter, disclosing Peterson's effort, lack of full health and future status. "He [Peterson] is very close. He has worked his butt off, but he is still not 100 percent. He is day-to-day," Self said. Once again, the Jayhawks will have to add a makeshift starter, with their latest example being Jamari McDowell.
