Falcons place defensive end Samson Ebukam on injured reserve with a hamstring injury
ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Falcons placed defensive end Samson Ebukam on injured reserve Tuesday with a hamstring injury.
Ebukam signed with the Falcons this past offseason to add edge rushing depth and has 11 tackles (two for loss), 2 1/2 sacks and nine quarterback hits through seven games this season.
Atlanta coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Ebukam and receiver Zachariah Branch were both dealing with hamstring injuries that would sideline them for Sunday's game against Cincinnati in Madrid, Spain. Both left last week's 16-0 loss against Tampa Bay with injuries.
Ebukam will be sidelined at least four games.
The Falcons also signed defensive end Drake Jackson to the practice squad on Tuesday and released offensive lineman Colby Sorsdal from the practice squad.
