Sting Ray Robb Enjoys Egg-cellent Time at White House Easter Event
NTT INDYCAR SERIES driver Sting Ray Robb was a featured guest at the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, April 6. The event showcased a special INDYCAR-themed display with a custom red, white and blue race car on the southern portion of the White House lawn.
The annual gathering is one of Washington D.C.’s most cherished holiday traditions and brings thousands of students to Pennsylvania Avenue for a patriotic-themed day of learning and fun. This year’s installations celebrated the nation’s 250th birthday, providing a natural opportunity for Robb to share his excitement for the upcoming Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington D.C.
“It was an absolute honor to represent the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and Juncos Hollinger Racing at the White House today,” Robb said. “We definitely inspired some future race car drivers, and it’s always extra special to share our sport with the next generation.”
This summer, the stars of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES will take to the streets of the nation’s capital with the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C., the first motor race on the National Mall. The recently unveiled course is highlighted by scenic views of the U.S. Capitol building and the Washington Monument, running 1.7 miles and featuring seven turns.
“What an incredible opportunity for our sport to commemorate the 250th anniversary of our independence and throw a celebration that everyone can enjoy,” Robb said. “The drivers are really looking forward to this race, and it’s going to provide a once-in-a-lifetime memory for everyone involved.”
The race weekend runs Aug. 22-23, with free access offered to the public. More information can be found at www.freedom250gp.com.
