NEW YORK (AP) — In a Nov. 9 story about the indictment of Cleveland Guardians pitchers Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz on betting-related charges, The Associated Press erroneously reported that the indictment alleged Clase had sent a text message to a bettor with an image of a man hanging himself with toilet paper. The bettor sent Clase that image, according to the indictment, and Clase responded with an image of a sad puppy dog face.
