Young's 20 lead Southern Utah over UT Rio Grande Valley 79-59

CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) — Zion Young scored 20 points as Southern Utah beat UT Rio Grande Valley 79-59 on Saturday night.

Young was 6-of-14 shooting, including 3 for 9 from 3-point range, and went 5 for 7 from the line for the Thunderbirds (9-13, 4-7 Western Athletic Conference). Parsa Fallah scored 17 points and added five rebounds.

Elijah Elliott finished with 18 points for the Vaqueros (6-16, 2-9). Daylen Williams added 11 points and six rebounds for UT Rio Grande Valley. Isaiah Barganier also had nine points.
