Okros scores 20, Drexel defeats Hampton 99-65 in Coastal Athletic Association opener
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Mate Okros scored 20 points to help Drexel defeat Hampton 99-65 on Monday in a Coastal Athletic Association opener for both teams.
Okros was 6 of 9 shooting, including 4 for 7 from 3-point range, and went 4 for 4 from the line for the Dragons (8-6). Amari Williams scored 16 points while shooting 5 of 6 from the field and 6 for 7 from the line, and added six rebounds. Kobe Magee shot 5 for 8, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc to finish with 12 points.
Jordan Nesbitt led the Pirates (4-9) in scoring, finishing with 12 points and four assists. Hampton also got 12 points from Tristan Maxwell. In addition, Kyrese Mullen had 11 points and 13 rebounds.
