Metheny leads Liberty past Maryland-Eastern Shore 99-62

LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) — Kaden Metheny's 20 points helped Liberty defeat Maryland-Eastern Shore 99-62 on Saturday.
Metheny was 7 of 9 shooting (5 for 7 from 3-point range) for the Flames (6-0). Brody Peebles scored 15 points, finishing 6 of 9 from the floor. Joseph Venzant had 12 points and was 5 of 6 shooting and 2 of 3 from the free throw line. The Flames prolonged their winning streak to six games.
Kelechi Okworogwo led the Hawks (2-4) in scoring, finishing with 12 points and eight rebounds. Devon Ellis added eight points for Maryland-Eastern Shore. Damani Claxton also recorded seven points.
