McNair and Boston University take down Lehigh 72-71
BOSTON (AP) — Michael McNair scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half and Miles Brewster made tow foul shots with four seconds left and Boston University beat Lehigh 72-71 on Saturday.
Cam Gillus missed a desperation 3-point attempt for Lehigh as time expired.
McNair was 6 of 9 shooting, including 4 for 6 from 3-point range, and went 5 for 6 from the line for the Terriers (9-14, 4-6 Patriot League). Brewster scored 17 points while going 5 of 12 from the floor, including 4 for 6 from 3-point range, and 3 for 4 from the line, and added six rebounds and five assists.
The Mountain Hawks (7-14, 4-6) were led by Tyler Whitney-Sidney, who recorded 18 points, four assists and four steals. Joshua Ingram added 11 points for Lehigh. In addition, Burke Chebuhar finished with 11 points.
Lehigh led 35-24 at halftime.
Both teams play again on Wednesday. Boston University hosts Colgate and Lehigh hosts Army.
