ST. LOUIS (AP) — Cooper Neese hit a 3-pointer to give Indiana State the lead with 1:26 left and the Sycamores held on to post a 94-91 victory over Belmont in the Friday night in the Missouri Valley Conference tournament quarterfinals.

Neese was 12 of 16 shooting (9 for 11 from distance) and scored 33 points for the Sycamores (20-11). Cameron Henry scored 25 points and added seven rebounds and eight assists. Courvoisier McCauley shot 5 for 13, including 2 for 7 from beyond the arc to finish with 12 points, while adding seven rebounds.
Cade Tyson led the way for the Bruins (21-10) with 24 points and seven rebounds. Belmont also got 19 points and two steals from Ben Sheppard. In addition, Keishawn Davidson had 18 points and five assists.
Neese scored 28 points down the stretch in the second half to help lead Indiana State to a three-point victory.
