Humrichous scores 28, Evansville takes down Chattanooga 85-77 in OT
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Ben Humrichous had 28 points in Evansville's 85-77 overtime win over Chattanooga on Friday.
Evansville (5-0) scored the first nine points and outscored Chattanooga 15-7 in the extra period. Antonio Thomas scored seven of his 11 points in overtime for the Purple Aces.
Humrichous was 11-of-21 shooting and made five 3-pointers. Tanner Cuff added 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Honor Huff led the Mocs (4-1) in scoring, finishing with 17 points, six rebounds and three steals. Tyler Millin added 14 points and three steals for Chattanooga. Jan Zidek also had 11 points.
Huff's two free throws with 33 seconds left tied the game at 70-all. Humrichous missed a late 3 to force overtime.
