Epps and Georgetown take down DePaul 77-76
CHICAGO (AP) — Jayden Epps scored 33 points to lead Georgetown and made two free throws with eight seconds remaining for the go-ahead points as the Hoyas took down DePaul 77-76 on Saturday night.
Epps had five assists for the Hoyas (9-18, 2-14 Big East Conference). Rowan Brumbaugh scored 14 points while going 5 of 11 and 4 of 5 from the free throw line. Dontrez Styles shot 2 for 5 (1 for 3 from 3-point range) and 7 of 8 from the free throw line to finish with 12 points. The Hoyas snapped an 11-game skid.
The Blue Demons (3-24, 0-16) were led in scoring by Elijah Fisher, Da'Sean Nelson and Jalen Terry, all with 16 points. The Blue Demons prolonged their losing streak to 15 straight.
Epps scored a team-high 15 points for Georgetown in the second half.
