Derrin Boyd's 24 points help Lipscomb take down Austin Peay 91-77
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Derrin Boyd had 24 points in Lipscomb's 91-77 victory over Austin Peay on Saturday night.
Boyd was 10-of-15 shooting, including 2 for 3 from 3-point range, and went 2 for 5 from the line for the Bisons (11-7, 2-1 Atlantic Sun Conference). Dylan Faulkner added 15 points while finishing 7 of 8 from the floor and also had seven rebounds and five blocks. A.J McGinnis shot 5 for 8, including 3 for 5 from beyond the arc to finish with 14 points.
The Governors (8-10, 1-2) were led in scoring by Demarcus Sharp, who finished with 23 points, eight rebounds and four assists. JaVar Daniel added 15 points and four assists for Austin Peay. In addition, Ja'Monta Black had 13 points and six rebounds.
