Carpenter scores 19 to lead Sacred Heart past Mercy 92-63

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Aidan Carpenter scored 19 points as Sacred Heart cruised past Mercy 92-63 on Saturday.

Carpenter also contributed five assists for the Pioneers (6-9). Alex Sobel added 16 points while shooting 7 of 10 from the field, and they also had 17 rebounds, six assists, and four blocks. Nico Galette was 5 of 14 shooting, including 3 for 8 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 4 from the line to finish with 16 points.

The Mavericks were led by Garrett Kirkland, who posted 18 points. Mercy also got 15 points and five assists from Taj Chiles. Alex May also had 13 points and seven rebounds.
