Anderson scores 20 in FGCU's 80-70 victory against Jacksonville
FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — Zach Anderson scored 20 points as FGCU beat Jacksonville 80-70 on Thursday night.
Anderson also contributed five rebounds for the Eagles (7-9, 1-0 Atlantic Sun Conference). Isaiah Thompson finished 4 of 6 from 3-point range and 5 for 6 from the line to add 17 points. Keeshawn Kellman had 14 points and shot 3 of 5 from the field and 8 for 8 from the line.
The Dolphins (9-6, 0-1) were led by Zach Bell, who posted 16 points and two steals. Gyasi Powell added 16 points for Jacksonville. In addition, Marcus Niblack had 14 points and three steals.
Both teams next play Saturday. FGCU hosts North Florida and Jacksonvilleplays Stetson on the road.
