Montreal's P.K. Subban was named as one of three finalists for the NHL's Norris Trophy, the award given out to the NHL's top defenseman through the regular season. The LA Kings' Drew Doughty and Ottawa's Erik Karlsson joined Subban as the final three up for the award.
Subban was the leader on a Canadiens defense which allowed the fewest goals against (189) in the NHL this season. He registered career highs in nearly every statistic, including goals (15), assists (45), points (60), plus-minus (plus-21) and game-winning goals (5). Subban played in every game this season for the Canadiens.
This is Subban's second time as a finalist, as he won the Norris in 2013.
