News: Nicasio preserved a 6-4 Dodgers lead in the ninth inning of Friday's game against the Rockies to earn his first career save.
Impact: After Adam Liberatore allowed back-to-back one-out singles to put the tying run on base, Nicasio whiffed former teammates Nolan Arenado and Wilin Rosario to extinguish the threat. The 28-year-old has adapted well to bullpen role this season with an excellent 1.02 ERA and 25 strikeouts over 17.2 innings, and should continue to see usage in high-leverage situations. However, with Kenley Jansen returning from the disabled list Friday, Nicasio probably doesn't have much of a shot at seeing regular save chances.

News: Nicasio threw a scoreless ninth inning to finish off the Dodgers' 7-0 win over the Rockies on Sunday. In a six-game homestand, the Dodgers' bullpen allowed one run over 20.1 innings, the Orange County Register reports.
Impact: Nicasio allowed that one run earlier in the week, but he's been decent, with a 1.59 ERA, albeit a 1.41 WHIP. He's not in line for any saves, at least none of the traditional sense.

News: Nicasio has allowed four runs on nine hits over five innings as he looks to fill a long-reliever role in the Los Angeles bullpen.
Impact: One report had 16 pitchers still competing for seven bullpen, so Nicasio will need to show some improvement to make the Opening Day roster.
