Twitter wasn't very impressed with Matt Barkley on Sunday

By Sam Gardner, FOXSports.com It was a rough Sunday for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Matt Barkley. His 17-of-26, 158-yard, one-interception performance made the rookie signal-caller the third-worst player to throw a pass for the Eagles, behind injured Michael Vick and Giants long snapper Zak DeOssie. And his one lost fumble (above) came at a critical juncture in the contest and could have been the difference in Philadelphiaās 15-7 loss. Performances like Barkleyās donāt normally go unnoticed ā especially in todayās Internet age ā so naturally, the Twitterverse made sure to let Barkley know just how poorly he played. Here is just a sampling of Twitterās best Matt Barkley smack talk:

Ā The good news for Barkley? There probably is none. But at least Eagles fans can take comfort in knowing that their team will be back on the road next week, against Oakland, so they may actually have a chance. (GIF via BuzzFeed Sports)Questions?
