Twins place Abad on bereavement list, recall LHP O'Rourke

Left-handed reliever Fernando Abad was placed on the bereavement list by the Minnesota Twins on Saturday and lefty Ryan O'Rourke was recalled from Triple-A Rochester to take his place on the 25-man roster.

Abad has appeared in five games this season and has not allowed a run in 4 1/3 innings.

O'Rourke appeared in 28 games for the Twins in 2015, posting a 6.14 ERA in 22 innings with 15 walks and 24 strikeouts. O'Rourke had pitched one inning in two games with the Red Wings this season.
