Trash talking Indians fan gets bat, gloves from Miguel Cabrera

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 12:45 p.m. ET

Cleveland Indians fans are not fond of Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera.

Cabrera's success against the Indians has led to a deep dislike which is apparently taught from an early age in Cleveland.

A young fan showed as much Tuesday night after snagging a foul ball from Jason Kipnis. Using his hat, the fan made a spectacular catch, and then turned his attention to Cabrera.

He laid into Cabrera with some solid trash talking. According to the young man named Dom, Cabrera looked like he needed fired up, and his words definitely had an impact on the former MVP.

Before the next inning, Cabrera came out to visit the young man in right field, and he came bearing gifts.

Dom from Avon, went home with a pair of Cabrera's batting gloves, and one of his bats.

When asked if he would become a fan of Cabrera, Dom wasn't sure because he is from Detroit, but he was definitely thankful for the generous gift.

So Cleveland, maybe he isn't so bad after all?
