Tom Brady has high praise for Brian Hoyer

Brian Hoyer learned from Tom Brady.
Now that Brian Hoyer is winning as an NFL starting quarterback -- he's now 6-2 over the last two seasons as the starter for the Cleveland Browns -- people are starting to take notice.
Brady is among them.
Asked during his weekly Monday radio appearance on WEEI in Boston if he's surprised at Hoyer's success this season, Brady said "I'm not at all. I saw him every day in practice."
Hoyer, who turned 29 Monday, spent his first three seasons as Brady's backup. He was released prior to the 2012 season and was then cut twice more before landing with the Browns in the spring of 2013.
"Sometimes when you're faced with adversities, it brings out the best in you," Brady said of Hoyer. "That's the mental toughness. People go through that at different times in their lives. Brian has gone through it this offseason (rehabbing from a torn ACL last October) and I think it's just been awesome to see the way he's persevered.
"It's a lot of credit to him and who he is -- what his makeup is, what his character is, his parents, the way they raised him and it's really great for him to see. He's doing a great job. (The Browns) are doing a great job in that division."
The New England Patriots are 4-2 and, like the 3-2 Browns, have won two straight. Hoyer is completing 60.4 percent of his passes, has 7 touchdowns vs. just 1 interception and has a quarterback rating of 99.5. Brady, who has three Super Bowl wins, is completing 62.7 percent of his passes this season, has a 10-2 touchdown-to-interception ratio and a 95.1 rating.
The Browns and Patriots don't play this season -- at least not in the regular season.
