Sun Sports will start the season at home as the HEAT host the Washington Wizards at the AmericanAirlines Arena. Coverage will start at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29 for viewers throughout South Florida. HEAT LIVE, Sun Sports' pre-and postgame show for home and away games, will be back this year providing viewers with an in-depth look at the team and storylines surrounding the squad before and after they hit the hardwood versus their opponents.
Play-by-play announcer Eric Reid returns, alongside Tony Fiorentino as color analyst, to provide viewers with expert commentary throughout the season. Jason Jackson also returns as in-game reporter and host of HEAT LIVE, while Kristen Hewitt, Will Manso and John Crotty round out the group of on-air analysts during pregame, postgame and halftime.
Sun Sports' HEAT broadcasts this season will feature an exciting new addition for viewers. Former HEAT head coach and assistant coach Ron Rothstein will join the broadcast team as a studio analyst, providing insight at halftime and in postgame, alongside Jason Jackson on all home games. The popular "Inside the HEAT" series returns and will feature player profiles and episodes offering behind-the-scenes access to other aspects of the team and its operations -- all designed to bring the fans closer to their favorite team. There are eleven new episodes tentatively scheduled to air throughout the upcoming season.
From new production integrations such as the "RF (radio frequency) Cam" and "Super Slo-Mo Cam" at all home games, to a new graphics package in and around all broadcasts, Sun Sports will continue utilizing the latest technologies available through FOX Sports to ensure viewers are receiving the very best experience while watching at home.
