Sources: Cavs discussed Kevin Love deal with LeBron's agent
The Cleveland Cavaliers outlined potential trade scenarios involving Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love with Rich Paul, LeBron James' agent, two sources told FOX Sports Ohio.
The Cavs expressed to Paul that, after their discussions with the Timberwolves, doing a deal "would not be easy," according to one source.
That source also expressed that the Cavs were reluctant to include No. 1 overall draft pick Andrew Wiggins in any potential deal.
Yahoo Sports and FOX Sports 1 NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski later confirmed the information about a Love trade scenario.
Though nothing from James or his camp regarding his free-agency desires has been said on the record, the Cavaliers are believed to be one of the main contenders to land the four-time NBA MVP.
In a move potentially aimed at clearing cap room for a max contract offer to James, the Cavs reportedly agreed to a three-team deal involving Jarrett Jack, Tyler Zeller, Sergey Karasev and a first-round pick Wednesday.
James became a free agent when he opted out of his contract with the Miami Heat on June 24.
Multiple reports have said James will meet with Miami Heat president Pat Riley Wednesday. A meeting between Riley and James would be the first confirmed face-to-face meeting between James and one of his suitors this offseason.
