Sheldon Richardson refuses to allow Anthony Dixon to steal yards

Published Oct. 26, 2014 6:56 p.m. ET

Running backs sometimes like to steal extra yards with some creative ball placement, much like catchers in baseball do when they try to frame pitches to get a strike call from the umpire.

Well, Jets defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson is having none of this nonsense.

Bills running back Anthony "Boobie" Dixon was brought down after gaining a few yards on Sunday. When he got the chance, he placed the ball forward a bit to try to get a better spot. Richardson was right there, and he took umbrage with Boobie's shenanigans.

Dixon tried one more time, but Richardson picked it up and moved it right back again. No free yards!
