Seahawks' Kearse fined for throwing game-winning TD ball into crowd

Apparently, winning the NFC championship game can cost you.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jermaine Kearse launched his team into the Super Bowl when he pulled down the game-winning touchdown pass from Russell Wilson in overtime against the Green Bay Packers. Kearse then stood up and launched the football he just grabbed into the stands.
"That throw ... it was more so just a sigh of just frustration," Kearse said a day after the game. "Just letting a lot of frustration throughout that game out. I just tried to throw it as far as possible. It was just something that happened in the moment."
Not cool, says the NFL.
FOX Sports 1 NFL Insider Mike Garafolo reported that the league fined Kearse $5,512 (what a strange total) on Friday for his act of exuberance. But why? Apparently, it's a crowd-control issue.
