Royals claim reliever Jacob Barnes off waivers, send him to Omaha

The Kansas City Royals have added another bullpen arm to the organization, claiming Jacob Barnes off waivers from the Milwaukee Brewers.

Barnes, 29, spent his first four MLB seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers. He has a 4-7 record, five saves, 175 strikeouts and a 3.93 ERA over his Major League career.

Barnes has been assigned to Omaha (AAA).
