Report: Ricky Williams says he gives up pot; leaves friends 'disappointed'

Ricky Williams isn't planning on making another NFL comeback, but he apparently wouldn't fail a drug test anymore if he did.

The 1998 Heisman Trophy winner, who was fined and suspended multiple times during his career with the Miami Dolphins after positive tests for marijuana, says he has given up smoking pot because he's not in pain or under the stress of playing football.

"When I go places, people offer me pot all the time," Williams told USA TODAY Sports. "And then I have to say, 'Well, I'm sorry, I don't do that anymore.' And they look so disappointed."

Williams last played in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens in 2012. He is currently an assistant coach at Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, and serves as an analyst for the Longhorn Network.
