The Tampa Bay Rays will host 14 games at Charlotte Sports Park as part of Grapefruit League play next year.
They open at home March 5 against the Baltimore Orioles and conclude their Port Charlotte, Fla., schedule against the Boston Red Sox on March 31 as part of a split-squad game. The Rays will end the exhibition season against the Detroit Tigers on April 4 at Tropicana Field before hosting the Orioles on Opening Day, which will take place April 6.
Pitchers and catchers will report on Feb. 21, and position players will follow on Feb. 26. Single-game tickets for the spring will go on sale sometime in January, with a date to be announced later. Prices will range from $10 to $29. All games at Charlotte Sports Park will begin at 1:05 p.m.
