Pryor to reportedly receive workout after being waived by Browns
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -- A person with knowledge of the situation says the New York Jets will work out former quarterback Terrelle Pryor as a wide receiver next week.
Pryor was waived by Cleveland last week after making the Browns' roster as a wide receiver despite not catching a pass in the preseason. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Wednesday because the team does not announce the names of players it brings in for workouts.
ESPN first reported the Jets' interest.
Pryor led the Buckeyes to the 2010 Rose Bowl championship over Oregon. He was a third-round pick of Oakland in 2011 and had 1,953 yards passing with nine touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 15 games. Pryor has also spent time with Seattle, Kansas City and Cincinnati.
