IRVING, Texas -- Cowboys end George Selvie had beer spit in his face as he and his teammates rushed into the ring during 'Slammiversary XII' at AT&T Stadium on Sunday night. It was 'Mr. Anderson' vs. 'The Cowboy' James Storm and Selvie and Caesar Rayford give us the straight dope:

From the TNA Wrestling press release: During the Slammiversary XII Pay-Per-View event viewed by millions around the world in more than 120 countries and broadcast live from Arlington, Dallas Cowboys players, led by starting Defensive End George Selvie, came to the aid of Mr. Anderson as he faced "The Cowboy" James Storm.

Storm provoked Selvie by spitting beer in his face. Selvie's teammates held him back, but Selvie broke away, burst through the barricade and interfered with Storm, allowing Anderson to win the match. Selvie's teammates Ben Bass, Nick Hayden, Tyrone Crawford, Caesar Rayford and Martez Wilson joined him in the ring to celebrate their teammate Selvie and Anderson's victory.

"The part where I got involved (was the highlight),'' says Selvie. "That was pretty cool. Just being a part of the show, just doing what I did. It was very cool."

Our buddy Troy Hughes from 105.3 The Fan was with the fellas and has more insight here.

Rayford also had a ball, telling us, "Last night was one of my childhood dreams. I am such a big wrestling fan and to be in that environment and invited to attend was amazing. I like to thank the TNA staff for having us."

And Cowboys fans would like to thank the TNA staff for making sure no Cowboys were hurt in the making of that video.
