Parker visits Embiid at hospital, says center is 'in very good spirits'

Joel Embiid has made a habit of snapping selfies from his hospital bed but Sunday he got some company - from another top draft prospect.
Former Duke forward Jabari Parker stopped by to wish the former Jayhawk Embiid well following surgery on Embiid's foot.
"Had to check up on my boy @joelembiid and give him his meds. He's in very good spirits," Parker wrote in his Instagram post.
Recovery going well.... My boy came through to check in on me @jpiz1 http://t.co/ntW4ZBABRw

Embiid is expected to miss four-to-six months as a result of the procedure, which included the insertion of two screws into his right foot. That has thrown the draft stock of Embiid, once viewed as a potential No. 1 overall pick, into question.
The latest from FOX Sports Ohio NBA insider Sam Amico is that Embiid is out of play for the Cavs' top pick but could still be swooped up at No. 3 by the 76ers. A similar saga played out last year when Kentucky star Nerlens Noel underwent pre-draft surgery on his knee and fell to the 76ers at No. 6. Noel sat out the entire 2013-14 campaign.
Only a few more days of wondering remain with the draft coming up Thursday. Stick with FOX Sports Ohio and follow @SamAmicoFSO for the latest inside info on the draft.
