Packers to start season on the road, face Vikings in Week 2

The Minnesota Vikings may have spoiled the Green Bay Packers four-year run as NFC North champions, but Aaron Rodgers and co will have a chance to ruin their first game at newly-constructed U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

The Packers will head to Minnesota in Week 2, following a season-opening road matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, kicking off a schedule that includes five 2015 playoff teams.

It's the first time since 1975 that the Packers will be on the road in their first two games.

However, Green Bay fans will have a chance to take in three consecutive home games for their patience.

The Packers return to Lambeau Field for their home opener against the Detroit Lions in Week 3, before getting an early break with a Week 4 bye.

Week 5 brings a primetime game against the New York Giants, their first regular-season trip to Lambeau since 2010, followed by a visit from the Dallas Cowboys (Week 6) and a matchup with the Chicago Bears (Week 7) on Thursday Night Football.

The Packers hit the road once again for their next three games, including tilts with the Atlanta Falcons (Week 8), Indianapolis Colts (Week 9) and Tennessee Titans (Week 10).

Green Bay returns to primetime in Week 11 for a road game against the Washington Redskins, before facing the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football in Week 12.

The Packers host the Houston Texans for just the second time in franchise history in Week 13, followed by an explosive content against the high-scoring Seattle Seahawks in Week 14.

Week 15 brings yet another Thursday night trip to Soldier Field, as the Packers look to pick up their fifth consecutive win against the Chicago Bears.

Week 16 brings a familiar foe, this time on Christmas Eve.

The Packers host the Vikings once again in their first Saturday game since 1997.

They'll finish the season on the road against the Detroit Lions.
