Packers release DT Ricky Jean Francois

The Green Bay Packers released defensive tackle Ricky Jean Francois, the team announced Wednesday.

Francois was released after Week 1 but brought back for Week 3, helping fill a void after the Packers lost Mike Daniels to injury in Week 2.

He played in just five snaps of Green Bay's loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 7 before the bye.
