NFL DFS Week 9: Top Cash Lineup

Well, let’s just get it out-of-the-way, last week my lineup was really bad!  I’m sorry for those who followed and saw just about every player leave with an injury at some point in their games.  As as result, I hit a season low 77.7 points in my cash games which was way out of the money.  Those weeks happen from time to time as none of us are perfect.  I am sticking to my process and hope to get back to winning this week.  I feel strong about my NFL DFS week 9 top cash lineup this week and I look to improve to 7-2 after this week.

We have some great match-ups at almost every position today that should lead to some great scores across the board today.  We typically look to get to the 120 point mark on our cash games, but this week I think it will take 135 or above to reach the pay line.  I think we can get that done today.  Let’s take a closer look at the lineup I’m rolling out today.  As a reminder, this is for the main slate on FanDuel.

I’m going pretty chalky today in some spots, but I believe it’s warranted.  I do go a little against the grain in a few positions, which will hopefully get us a little different from the masses and gets us to the 135 point mark.

QB – Andrew Luck $8,000

RB – Ezekiel Elliott $9,200

RB – Charcandrick West – $5,600

WR – Donte Moncrief – $6,100

WR – Davante Adams – $7,100

WR – Stefon Diggs – $6,500

TE – Greg Olsen $7,500

K – Will Lutz $4,500

D – Minnesota Vikings $5,300

I went back to Andrew Luck again this week as he is going to be in a shootout with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.  Luck is the only way the Colts will score in this game, and I think he keeps up with Rodgers for most of this game.  Rodgers is the chalk so I paid down for Luck in hopes of matching or exceeding his point total.

At the running back position I went total chalk.  Elliott is in an extremely good matchup this week and will be wildly popular.  I think he gets at least 18 Fanduel points this week and could go even higher if he gets all the goal line work today.  West is my other running back.  He should be the highest owned running back because of his usage and price and for great reason.  The Chiefs will be without both Charles and Ware, so West is pretty much the only one left.

At wide receiver I went with 2 from the potentially high scoring Colt/Packer game.  Devante Adams should continue to see a big workload with Cobb unlikely to play today.  Rodgers had been throwing him a ton of passes, and with Vontae Davis likely on Jordy Nelson all day Adams should be open a ton.  Donte Moncrief is back for the 2nd week in a row, and should have his way with the Green Bay secondary this week.

TY Hilton has been a little banged up after leaving last weeks game for a brief stint.  He is likely to go but he isn’t completely healthy, Moncrief should see some redzone work today as well.  Stefon Diggs rounds out my WR’s this week.  He goes up against a horrible Detroit secondary and should have success, especially is Darius Slay does not play.

Greg Olsen gets my call at TE.  I think a lot of people will be using Kyle Rudolph or Antonio Gates  Both of those are good plays and I can see either one of them being used.  I just wanted a little variation today and I get that with Olsen.

At kicker I’m going with Will Lutz.  The Saints are at San Francisco today and should be able to move the ball today.  I think Lutz will get at least 3 extra points and 2 field goals.  At defense I’m rolling with Minnesota.  Kansas City is the most popular play today but I think Minnesota at home is a fine play.  The Lions are pretty much one-dimensional and I think Minnesota rallies at home today and really gets after Matt Stafford and the Detroit Lions offense.

I’m hoping the injury bug doesn’t bite this week like it did last week.  If these guys stay healthy this week I think this lineup will find it’s way back to the right side of the payline.  Good luck to everyone!
