LeBron James got carded by a bartender this week

LeBron James walked up to the bar at an Orlando hotel during the Orange Bowl on Friday night and asked for a drink.

The bartender asked for his ID.

Yup, that happened.

How old is LeBron? 29.

Forget the fact about his age. How did the bartender not recognize one of the biggest superstars on the planet?

Also, LeBron has a beard and a receding hairline. Those two things alone should get you a drink without having to show identification.

What was LeBron's response? The Miami Herald has that answer:

James didn't tell the employee who he was but was surprised to be carded. "Look at my beard!" he said.
