'Inside the Marlins: Offseason Special' premieres March 10 on FOX Sports Florida

MIAMI -- FOX Sports Florida, the statewide television home of the Miami Marlins, will air the premiere episode of the 2018 season of “Inside the Marlins” this Saturday, March 10 at 12:30 p.m. prior to the telecast of the Marlins Spring Training game against the St. Louis Cardinals. “Inside the Marlins: Offseason Special” provides an in-depth look at the Fish, on and off the diamond, as they get set for the upcoming season.



The show begins with host Jessica Blaylock reporting from Fan Fest at Marlins Park, where she spent the afternoon covering the annual event. From the ‘Alumni Home Run Derby’ featuring FOX Sports Florida color analyst Todd Hollandsworth competing against former Marlins Cliff Floyd, Charles Johnson and Gaby Sanchez, to wildlife expert Ron Magill entertaining fans with some of his animal friends from Zoo Miami, the fun didn’t stop at the ballpark. Following Fan Fest, we joined the Fish at TopGolf in Miami Gardens for their ‘Spring Swing’ charity event.

Marlins President of Baseball Operations Michael Hill, Manager Don Mattingly and a handful of Marlins players joined us to discuss the upcoming season and their shared goals. Finally, the show gets capped with a pair of must-watch interviews. Original Marlin and famed knuckleballer Charlie Hough shared his fond memories of the team's inaugural 1993 campaign, while our cameras were rolling when Broward County native and new Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson received a surprise visit from one of his childhood heroes in former Marlin Juan Pierre.
