'Inside the Heat: Shabazz Napier' premieres March 13 on Sun Sports
MIAMI -- On Friday, March 13, at 10:30 p.m., FOX's Sun Sports, the regional television home of the Miami HEAT, will debut a new episode of "Inside the HEAT" upon conclusion of the HEAT vs. Toronto Raptors game. Titled "Shabazz Napier," this episode follows the journey of the HEAT's 2014 first round draft pick. Hosted by Eric Reid, the show will provide fans with insight on the life and career of the young point guard.
Napier was born and raised in a single parent home in Roxbury, Mass., where his mom stressed the importance of education. Through her guidance and the support of some lifetime friends, he developed into a basketball talent and earned his way to a state championship and an undefeated season in high school. He then traveled to Storrs, Conn., where he would become a star at the University of Connecticut on his way to winning two National Championships as a freshman and senior. His experience and four years wearing the Huskie uniform molded him into a well sought after talent in the 2014 NBA Draft. Watch as he discusses his experiences during his first year in South Florida, as well as his transition to playing a significant role on a new team.
"Inside the HEAT" is presented all-season long by Palmetto57 Nissan and Palmetto57 Volkswagen. See all of this and more on "Inside the HEAT: Shabazz Napier" and be sure to follow @SunSportsHEAT on twitter and visit FOXSportsFlorida.com for channel listings and exclusive Miami HEAT coverage.
