Garrett: Romo is human; he makes mistakes, too

IRVING, Texas - Tony Romo didn't play well Sunday. There's no denying it. He acknowledged it after the game.

Romo posted a 60.8 quarterback rating during the 28-17 loss to San Francisco, his worst rating since finishing at 55.9 during a Week 17 loss in Washington in 2012.

His three interceptions and a decision to switch out of a run play near the goal line in the first quarter were major topics of discussion during Jason Garrett's Monday press conference.

"Tony, like everyone else in this room and on the football field yesterday, is human," Garrett said. "He made some decisions over the course of the game that he'd like to have back. That happens every week in the National Football League to every quarterback. You continue to try and learn and continue to try and grow from the situations you're in."

And Garrett isn't expecting a repeat performance Sunday against Tennessee.

"I think you understand what happened and address the situation and try to correct it," Garrett said. "That's the kind environment we try to create with our players, with our coaches. We evaluate what happens in a ball game. You try to build on the good stuff, correct the bad stuff and move forward. The mistakes he made had to do with the ball and they were significant."
